Yeah, its a bit strange. It happens because the Tuts sites use buysellads to sell the spots, so technically any company could come in and buy one.

“Yes, you can approve each ad before it goes live on your site. What you would do is set each zone to be manually approved (on the zone settings page) and then you will receive an email before each ad goes live.”
I just think it’s a shame that VH isn’t promoted/advertised when a competitor to envato – and us all here really – is.

I’d cross-promote within my own group as much as possible and exclude any direct competition (because I can with buysellads) – and on aetuts I’d run VH ads more for project files than motion graphics for obvious reasons (the ad Mark is referring to above is advertising stock motion graphics … interesting rationale … but I don’t get it).
