Just got a new job and I start in a week, but in this agency I have to use a Mac and I have never really used them.

Some tip would be great or if you know any where that has material on how to switch from PC to mac.

Many thanks

Apple official 101’s are usually very well done and constantly up to date. These are quite basic and simple and I’m sure you’ll love using a Mac after getting used to it :)

Hey DarkstarDesigns,

You may find this article helpful – http://www.apple.com/support/switch101/

I made the switch from PC to mac a while ago and I wouldn’t go back to PC unless I had to.

Depending on your role in the agency ( designer, coder, both ) I would recommend using photoshop ( obviously ), Espresso ( for coding. I think general preference varies 50/50 between Espresso and Coda ), Transmit ( FTP ) and Mozilla with Firebug.

There are also handy little apps that make life easier : LittleIpsum and Text Expander I love.

As you are working for an agency, it may be you do not have a choice of software you would like to use, in which case all of what I have just said is useless ;)

Anyway I hope this helped you a little.

Just remember to translate the apple key to the CTRL key and you will be just fine.

Welcome to the world of Mac!
