Hi,
I purchased the realistic-earth-with-controlls file. But it requires Knoll Light Factory plugin. I havea copy of this plugin installed on my mac.
But when I want to import the file I got the error that the file is missing 4 references to Knoll Light Factory EZ, see image.
But the same effect is available in my after effects, under effects, see image.

EZ uses ‘Custom Lenses’ – are they all installed?
On my Mac they’re here:
Applications>After Effects>Plugins>Knoll Light Factory>Custom Lenses.
Do you have the most current version. You may have an old version and if it was created with a newer version some settings and whatnot could be missing and/or not work.

this maybe can cause it, because my version is installed here .. Plugins -> Digital Anarchy -> Knoll Light Factory
And I have 118 Custom lenses

I have the latest version, I updated it. I even contacted their support and they said it is because windows projects in After Effects cannot be opened in Mac After effects. So they blame Adobe, But I never had problems with from windows to mac or visa versa
After Effects is fully cross platform. If a certain plug-in doesn’t work cross-platform, I’d say that’s not Adobe’s fault.
In your screenshot of the pop-up message, there’s a curious four spaces after the name:
“Light Factory EZ “
Is that normal?
You can find the effect name of your installed Knoll, by linking an expression to the effect using the pick whip and looking at the code AE writes. I suspect there’s not four spaces after the name in your installed version – which is why AE recognises it as a different effect.
Then the question is what plug-in is used in the project you have downloaded. Maybe it’s a different version? It might be worthwhile asking the author.

Tried a fresh install(uninstall, restart, re-install again on the default path) and reset AE to default settings(CTRL+ALT+SHIFT> 2*click the aftereffects icon, on Win)?
I would delete it from the Dig Arch folder and re install, that location doesn’t seem right.
