For those who care about mobile development, this is super exciting news because you can now take full advantage of GPU acceleration in AIR Runtime for iOS, Android, Playbook OS, etc

Hit the link below for more info and check out the demo video (amazing performance):

AIR sdk uses command line interface. Overlaying the old AIR sdk in your current Flex sdk usually doesn’t work. I think they will release update for Flex 4.6 sdk few days later.

Was about time. I was playing around with Corona and iStencyl just because of poor performance of AIR , but now things changed with this release and I might give Flash Builder another shoot as soon they update it.

What kill me the most, is i can’t devoted my time same as do with my flash or flex if its base on AIR sdk if i am not 100% in to it, it’s just way too much time consuming in general speaking and I am not a game developer so i try thinking how this can come in use to me out of the gaming scope in general which i found i can do some amazing s* with it .

Even sadder for me something that i had been doing on a regular day base due to my work is drifting away for me due to a pure financial judgment…sad man just sad no matter how many wow i will say … you know i am not a man of God but more of an atheist but we all know from books in how much pain Jesus was when he had to carry that heavy cross for hours, i think i can relate to that pain right now when i am not doing AIR flash stuff in the name of time

Did you look up “Flash builder overlay Air SDK ”?

Has anyone managed to test on Android so far? I’m getting a “wrong window mode” error using Starling framework. I overlayed Air sdk in Flash CS5 .5 and the runtime on my Galaxy S2, which seems to be fine, I can test fine on desktop as I can set wmode to direct in the embed code of the html, but all I can see in Flash is a “Hardware acceleration” setting which can be set to direct but still doesn’t work, so how to set wmode direct when exporting apk?
