I have to make an AIR application for school , I made the application successfully using Adobe Flash Cs4 but I don’t have any certificate and since I don’t have one Cs4 is publishing the file as .airi which can’t be executed…
I thought I can publish air files without any certificate the project becoming “untrusted” with a warning… how can I do that without a certificate… or where can I get one for free… I don’t want to pay 300$... I only want to publish a damn homework…
Any help would be appreciated…
you can create a certificate with cs4 (create button after the browse certificate )
You can create a certificate by simply going through File-Air Settings-Create Certificate. The purpose of the certificate is to assure the installer that they are installing a product written by you and not by some impostor who is pretending to be you. In your case you don’t need an authenticated certificate, so just simply create one and save it to your desktop and use it again and again. You still need to assign a password to the certificate though.
oaaaa… thx guys… I missed that button… it’s working I owe you a beer
