Why I do not have any sales for 3 weeks? :
( Am I so untalented? :(
Patience fellow, your sales will come wish us best of luck!
It seems that a lot of people upload 1-2 songs and expect them to be instant hits/classics/hot sellers/meal tickets, etc. There are a ton of posts like yours and it seems like someone will always come along and say:
“Just keep uploading your best stuff… constantly improve your skills, promotion, and be patient.”
So I have decided to say that for them.
On another note, let’s see here… you have 2 files in a sea of 4,000,000+ files with more being added every minute. I only say 4,000,000+ because my last song uploaded had that number tagged to it.
It truly has become a jungle…
There are over 96,000 items and you have uploaded 2 items – which is .002% of the total files on the site. It may take a while. Load more files to increase your odds. With only 2 files it is very hard to get sales.
I agree with everything the others have said above. Write more and you’ll get better. Simple formula! I promise you that if you get 18 more tracks approved, no. 20 will be way better than no. 1. Keep writing no matter what!
I agree with all of the above! The real good guys got in when envato started…they deserve the success. Newbies like me need to build and earn respect and sales; I have a feeling some people think of this as a get rich quick scheme which….frankly….its not. Its hard work.
I’m off on an After Effects course in London this month to learn some skills to make videohive projects to match my audio; sometimes being a bit proactive can reap the rewards.
Don’t get down, just be inspired by others success
It took 5 weeks for my first sale and then another three weeks to my next one. Then my next two followed within 24 hours, one of those being my first referral sale. All the while I have just been writing and my portfolio has grown from 5 to 11 and I have another two in the queue.
Concentrate on writing and uploading. Listen to tracks from others, especially those that have sold well recently. Check out the tracks that sell 2-5 times in their first week or so. Pay no attention to your sales. I look at it this way…I am going to write music no matter whether people buy it or not because it’s what I love to do. Any sales are a bonus.
Also, what are you doing to market? Have you read the following thread?http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/ways-to-promote-your-audiojungle-music/55643
Do you have a web site? Are you posting your previews to Soundcloud? Are you then adding them to the appropriate royalty free groups? Doing anything with Twitter? Do you have a Facebook page? What about YouTube? Do you participate in forums and include the link to your Audiojungle portfolio in your signature?
Don’t forget to use that referral link for your portfiolio and your items wherever post them. Take some time a few times a week to promote your music. It will eventually pay off.
But mostly, trust your abilities and keep writing.
if you were untalented then you would have had 0 tracks uploaded to this site xD
