an H2 Heading or a H2 Heading?

I can’t remember the an or a rules, but I’m thinking it should be ‘an H2’, but not completely sure.

I know it doesn’t really matter, but it being correct is important to me for some reason.

So what do you guys think, ‘an H2’ or ‘a H2’?

“An”, because the next word’s pronunciation starts with a vowel. Try to say “A H2”, it doesn’t sound right.

That’s is what I thought, but I see everybody use ‘a H2’ so I just thought maybe I’m f’d up.

haha, no H isn’t a vowel is it. We say “an Hour” because the H sounds like a vowel. neither of them sound right, so i don’t know

If you read every time “A H2 heading” as “A header two heading” ... well, that looses the whole point of abbreviations. Or maybe you read it in latin: A “ha:sh” two heading.
