Hi guys,

I was wondering if we’re allowed to add any kind of site analytics (not necessarily Google) on the product pages so we can see the traffic we’re getting.

Cheers

I can’t see any reason why this shouldn’t be allowed…can you?

I think he’s talking about the product page (here on TF) not the demo. And i don’t think that’s allowed.

Well it can be done with pixel tags. There is a topic about that on the forums. You make 1×1 transparent PNG /GIF, upload it to your server and put it in item description. Whenever your item page is rendered, browser will request image from your server, that way you can record requests and gather some informations about users. But the problem is that you would have to code your own analytics script. Look it up a bit, I’m not really familiar with this method.

P.S. What is analytics.envato.com for ?

Looked for the thread but couldn’t find it. Could you please paste it in here?

And yes, I was talking about the product page. This idea seems to be a pretty good one.
