Could please someone elaborate this to me:

Themes are not permitted to add options that define the number of posts to show on archive or category pages via a global setting.

I am using the Gantry Framework and this is the integrated part of the framework to set the number of posts in Blog view, Category View, Archive View and you can do an override by category based for example some categories can have 10 post per page and some 20. Why is this setting so important that the theme will not pass the review?

Really strange!!! I think this is just a good feature of Gantry framework and may be it is not hurting WP standards anyway (I’m not sure though) then why is this restriction? I am also very curious to know the answer.

Is it allowed to hook up on template_include to alter the location of templates?

so for example , instead of /single.php will become /template-dir-78283740234/single.php

My reason is i want to group the standard wordpress templates, parts, and custom templates by directory and version. I am adding some features that need this.

Thanks!

I’ll follow up with the review team on this but overall I think that it interferes with third party code. I’ll post back in a bit.

Is there anyone who ca explain me regarding Envato tool kit library? I have just created a new theme, it has no bugs i have checked it through THEME Check Plugin, but once i have integrated Envato Tool Kit library with my theme, Theme Check is displaying numerous errors.

I don’t know what to do now, as i have already posted this issue on gituhub repository of Envato Tool kit library but still won’t get any solution for this, and please tell me that whether my theme will be accepted with such errors, as they are not caused by my development.

Hoping to get positive reply on it.

The error getting when WP_DEBUG is true

Also tell me can I upload my theme with these errors as its from Envato’s library errors.

Thanks in advance! :) CheerxxXX!!!!

I hope is OK if I am posting my issue here as it is submission related topic (I opened a thread on the item discussion but they seem focused more on design there).

As I code with wp debug set to true in wp 3.5.2, I get the following notices: Notice: Undefined index: feeds in /home/itmsn/public_html/gr352/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 871

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/itmsn/public_html/gr352/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 1272

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$post_name in /home/itmsn/public_html/gr352/wp-includes/template.php on line 244

In wp 3.8.1 on the same pages some of the notices are not present anymore, probably fixed by WP.

Are these notices the concern of the theme author? In the reqiurements says: “Themes must not have any PHP notices, warnings, or errors…” but does not say if in author code or in general.

If these are mine to solve although pointing to the WP core files, how do I work them out?

Thanks!
