Hi guys! Yesterday I have trying to share with you a great tool that I create for me and I have add the link to it into the post and the moderator consider it was impropriate and locked the post. Today I try again to share but I will not post the link again, is anybody is interested or just curios please PM me and I will kindly share with you, is not in commercial purpose, yes the link at the end have a ref attached but you are developers, I don’t need to buy you just browse themes and stay up2date.

Keep on smiling,

Valentin

Hi Vali,

I’ve done some stuff with the Marketplace API too in the past, so I’m curious – what parts of the product browsing and discovery from the marketplaces, does your tool improve?

browsing, for me to make an idea in regards to the theme, design and structure i need to hover the icon when browsing the themes on themeforest and to get to preview i need to click twice, is not productive and also slower, sow i make a tool that solve my issue, now i can see directly preview image, i put a direct link to preview and also i implement an infinite scroll ;) and more coming ( i will give developers opportunity to set there own ref when they sharing the tool )

It’s a site to bump up his referrals apparently. :stress:

What you’ve done is fine, building a site so it builds your referrals, but advertising it on here is a poor move. I think Envato were correct to remove the link, after all, why would they want you to take traffic away from them?

My piece of advice would be to get your own user base, advertise the site elsewhere, and bring new traffic to the marketplace, rather than trying to poach the existing user base. :)

This is constructive criticism, but adding full size previews and infinite scroll does not warrant enough change to the current system to make people want to switch browsing sites. If you maybe implemented proper categorisation and appropriate filtering, then I think you’d have a better chance, it would definitely be more work, but it seems at the moment you’re (honestly) just looking for some free easy money.

Another thing to note, see another thread floating around about referral income, site’s like yours have a tendency to collect thousands of click throughs with 0 registrations, simply because they’re wrongly positioned.

Please take this reply in the tone it was written, friendly :)
