Its not the slider that is your issue – You need to consider your typography (especially fonts and consistency), spacing and really those social icons in the header look a bit cheap.
Do not think its far off and like the way the slider works, just needs tidying up a little. Good luck
Thank you for the feedback PaddyTaylor… There are ample sites on here with the exact same typography, and the exact same social networking icons (except most of them are just squares), so it still doesn’t explain why this template got rejected : ) Thanks!
It looks generally good -
Logo looks a bit dated
Social icons are not wrong some just look pixellated or low quality
Contact form needs spacing more
Footer fonts looks too small and inconsistent to the rest of the page
There are some minor alignment issues mostly in the footer
Generally there are some code errors throughout the page.
I doubt it is a million miles off but in a category where there is little content to play with it needs to be 110% spot on. Best of luck with it
Cool… I can work with that, I guess it does need some spacing tweaks. Can you be specific about the “code errors” … I’m not sure what you meant : ) ...That’s weird about the icons, I don’t see any pixelation, I’ll just have to re-do them LOL. Thanks!
The icons are not bad – it may be our screen but still reckon the social bit could be a little more jump out (given its a landing page and you have 1 page to grab attention etc).
Code wise – have not looked in mass detail (will have a proper look tomorrow if you want) but even W3C pulls in a load of errors/warnings (of course not all are valid issues).
As i said its generally just cosmetic stuff but cos its one page reviewers get very picky about it being just right especially even the smallest code fix.
Sure you can get it sorted.
