Hello fellow Wordpress authors. Being an active member of Themeforest I have come to many threads regarding the ways of promoting Wordpress themes. Some solutions were suggested, like submitting the themes to CSS galleries, promoting own website offering freebies, etc… Taking into consideration the fact that this problem interests the majority of Wordpress authors here in Themeforest, we decided to create a specialized review website of premium wordpress themes. The idea behind is simple: Provide reviews of premium Wordpress themes to help people decide what suits their business needs the best. If you are interested, please e-mail me at info [at] weblusive [dot] com the following information:
  1. 320×270 image of the theme (used as thumbnail)
  2. 500×450 image of the theme (used as preview)
  3. Description of the theme in a free manner. Not the brief description, but a thorough review of your theme, what advantages it has over others, etc… The more thorough is the description, the higher are the chances to be considered for buying by our visitors.
  4. List of features (this can be just like in TF but feel free to add anything)
  5. Theme’s link address in Themeforest
I’m sure many of you will be interested in the actual address of the website. I hope it won’t be considered as self-promotion and removed by moderators, otherwise I’ll send you the address once I get an e-mail from you with the above mentioned information.
Website address: http://wpmeta.com

Feel free to ask any questions and waiting forwad for your e-mails.

Could be because there are literally hundreds, if not thousands of such sites. What are you bringing new to the table? :)

Well, there are hundreds of css gallery websites also, and still they are a good way of promotion. The more sites you get submitted to, the higher is the possibility you will get more leads. It’s like getting submitted to directories. Yes, there are a lot of them but everyone working on site’s SEO knows it’s a good way to get initial backlinks. As of our website, we work hard on promoting it and I believe spending 10 minutes on preparing the materials may pay 10 times more in near future and this is definitely a win-win deal.

Also, why do you have chunks from Dribbble placed on your site? Not cool, dude.

Sorry, what do you mean chunks? If it’s the color chooser, there are a lot of websites which have similarities to some others, do you claim all they are copies?

Where the hell do you see any “chunks” from dribbble?

Calm down. The “Tags” section looks very close to that of dribbble’s, and so does the color picker. I guess it’s just “inspiration” though.

So inspiration is not allowed? Let’s take a look at some themes and the similarities. Let’s look at cars and their different brand.. still similarities.. let’s look at an iPhone and then a Samsung Galaxy.. you get the idea? What’s wrong about: Mh this color picker is very handy and useful we should use it because it’s the BEST way possible for the user to find something. Do you really think it’s better to say: nah that’s so great we shouldn’t use it.. it’s simply to great. I respect your opinion but you also should consider that people like Weblusive spend a lot of time to create a site and just saying.. “nah.. looks a bit like __” is a bit harsh. Giving feedback is great. Telling that you appreciate that some people build stuff to let customers have a good overview about WordPress themes. I think all of these things are positive things so maybe you think about it and also have some good words for people who try to increase the overall experience for people like you! People who want to buy quality themes and need to get a good overview of all themes available.

It’s funny how people still complain about the originality in web design; while coming from a 10+ years experienced designer, design is dead.

Almost every design is rip of another and it’s called legal lately and you need to live with it.

And @weblusive, mate you need to come up with a more original idea if you want us on board, don’t take it personal but what you’re suggesting is a very cheap way to promote your site, not our themes :)

Cheers,

Onur
