Anyone design apps for iphone or ipad? The size?

What is the size in pixels when you design an app for ipad2?

In both vertical and horizontal format – anyone know or done before?

DO you have to make 2 sizes when making an app? 1 for ipad and 1 for ipad2? (due to retina)
