So I have watched quite a few hours of ‘Tutvids’ Dreamweaver tutorial and a few HTML videos on youtube. As most of you are graphic designers don’t you need to know html? Anyway how did you learn and is there a simple way for me to learn.
I need to have the basic knowledge of html to be able to create a site in dreamweaver.

The best way to learn HTML is to write it. You should also check other websites code (your browser should have a “show source code” option somewhere).

yea I have seen the html for a few webpages. But its like 200 lines of coding. So i guess i will have to practise.
Try the lynda.com tutorials. They are awesome to learn from. The ones about css are really good and easy to understand.
Also using a good editor when you are writing code can help you a lot.
For example … if you own a mac, you should try out CssEdit. It can use pre-formatted pieces of css just by using the wysywig editor that’s build in. By using this for a while you will more easily learn the css properties out of your head.
Good luck!
