Hello- I’m following the documentation 1st step but I’m lost ( 1st part, I did unzip and open the file folder, no password were provided, and I don’t understand what they mean by that.

1. Installation Top Extract the zip file using Winzip or Winrar on windows PC using the password provided on “Password” column under “My Downloadable Products” In “My Account”.

>>>> HERE IS WHERE I ’M LOST <<<<<

Copy the directories from “Opencart Files” (provided in to ZIP file) to your opencart root. Copy those directories at your opencart root respectively, e.g Your copy path will be “catalog/view/theme/forest_classyshop” >>>> I PLACE THE THEME HERE <<< “catalog/view/javascript/jquery”(Overwrite this folder) >>HELP HERE << Any suggestion and help is appreciated. Than You

Then you should contact envato support with

a) your support request
b) the complain about the author

yes, i did. and wierd they say that they are the author, they take toooo long to answer my question, that’s why I’m asking here and searching every where online. poor custumer support. I honestly make the biggest mistake by purchasing a templete on this site.

Thank you

If this is the template you’ve bought, then Envato is not the author of the file.

I’m really sorry for you that you have made a bad experience over here, but just to clarify:

The Theme you’ve bought has a 5-Star Rating – so there must be something done absolutely right with this file. But if you really experience an issue you should definitely contact the author, and if he/she does not respond then maybe envato support can help you.

Of course you’re free to post your issues also on the forum but you shouldn’t expect an answer, though in most cases we’ll help each other out here.

Themeforest is a marketplace where authors can sell their digital goods. Support isn’t obligated but most of the authors do their best to help as many buyers out as they can. But everyone behave different in terms of support. So there is no reason to blame the whole marketplace just because the author of your item isn’t responding to your support request.

Also you should bear in mind that you (as a customer) have the possibility to buy some parts for a relatively low price (compared to a freelancer or agency). If it is a template for your website, a graphic for your flyer or a video animation for your youtube videos. That being said a minimal knowledge is required, to handle those parts, since you wouldn’t buy a part for your car (or bathroom) without knowing how to proper install it, don’t you?

To bring it to an end now, I would really love to help you out but I haven’t any experience with Opencart since I’ve never touched that piece of software before. Sorry

Good Luck with finding someone who can help you.
