I’ve read through a few posts on here and am a bit lost on what the official Theme Forest word is for Apple products.

I’m designing an E-Commerce website that features iMac products.

Now I will not be using the actual Apple logo itself but obviously with a picture of an iMac the Apple logo is on it.

I’ve read that Apple has no control over screen shots and such and does not bother with this.

Is this allowed here? I’m guessing no and that it’s a Theme Forest thing and not an Apple thing.

Any clarification would be great.

I don’t know, I’ve seen a few themes that clearly use an image of the iMac front and center, but with the Apple logo on the front removed with Photoshop. So maybe it would be alright to use such images, as long as you hide the Apple logo/name itself.

the short answer is that you cannot use any image you do not own and have a license to use for distribution – therefore a screen shot is now not allowed.

You have to either use the envato asset images, or find stock imagery that comes with a license that will allow you to place in a template and resell.

This was all over the forums the other week.

Yup.

Also, logos like apple’s, etc. Cannot be use in any way.
