...just wondering. And if not, is there any good reason why it wouldn’t have to be?

Thanks but doesn’t totally answer my question. Kailoon’s post just says that a “WordPress theme which is WP 3 .0 compatible must support at least 1 wp nav menu”. So does that means it isn’t required to be WP 3 .0 compatible BUT if it’s marked as so then it has to support a wp nav menu?

... and mostly I’m wondering why a new WP theme approved here today wouldn’t be required to be WP 3 .0 compatible (or at least support 1 WP nav, as detailed by the Kailoon post).

what I get out of Kailoons post is that it is required to be 3.0 compatible mainly from the heading Default requirements(3.0) but some one may correct me if Im wrong

” Start from now, all WordPress theme which is WP 3 .0 compatible must support ” so if your theme if for wordpress 3.0… so you can make them for an earlier theme… but i would recommend to be up to speed with the technology

How do you know the theme isn’t wp 3 compatible?

[never mind, I see which theme you’re talking about. That is strange. Maybe they just accidentlly didn’t select the 3.0 field, when they were creating the product]
