Hey guys. I just cam across a nasty AS2 error. Here is my problem.
I have a movieclip that goes under a mask. A quarter of the movieclip remains visible the rest is hidden, trouble is that under that quarter of a movieclip, there are some rollover functions. When I rollover the quarter_container( let’s call it like that) the items under it ( the ones hidden by the mask ) start working… and they come up … how can I fix this problem? How can I make the quarter_container not clickable? In AS3 I would have used mouseChildren and mouseEnabled… but this is AS2
Any help please?

Put a movieclip with a 0 opacity on top of the area you want to disable and give it a rollOver function with useHandCursor = false. This will disable the button actions below.

Good one. Trying it now! Thanks!
Edit: Wow… That solution was remarkably easy… I kept trying to find a substitute for the mouseChildren and mouseEnabled from AS3 . Thanks a lot damojo . Problem is solved!

Good point. Sorry for that I am used to ask for a lock if I get my reply to keep the topic going off topic. But good point! Sorry again.
