I switched to AS3 and OOP -ish style a while ago, it’s waaaay nicer. Would it be better to update my AS2 files with AS3 versions or add new features and release AS3 versions separately? What would you guys do?
yeap As3.0 is rocking…...very easy to read xml files like folder to folder jumps in computer….....no firstchild, lastchild, childnodes etc….nice to work with as3.0…coool as3.0…

Actually I had a parser that enabled me to do just that, never had to do firstChild stuff in AS2 either. But it’s better to have that built in AS3 now
Hope everybody starting with AS3 remembers garbage cleaning and eventlistener removal etc is important now. Flash won’t be your free housemade anymore, you’ll need to worry about it yourself. Otherwise you’ll get matrix visual slowly slowing down playback because of memory leaking.
