One of the biggest problems I have is sorting through the mass collection of various licensed assets (icons, code, brushes, stock photography, artwork, etc) before the start of projects and find what I want. I try to keep my folders organized to make it easier to find things, but I am hoping there is a better way…as my collections get larger I find it more time consuming selecting assets from it.

Right now I look folder by folder for that set of special icons I want to use for example and then make sure the license will allow me.

I am hoping there is a tool out there I can install to help me organize these assets on my file system (not online) by tags, projects, license, favorites, etc…know of anything?

If there is no solution I will fire up Visual Studio and build a c# desktop application that does exactly what I want.
