Hey guys—when uploading a theme, what do you do with the 590×300 preview image?? There’s a place in the form for Theme Preview, but that’s for the zip file of preview images the user sees when they click the “Screenshots” button. The 590×300 image is the one that pops up when you hover over the thumbnail.

I’ve checked the docs over and over and see nothing about this. I seem to remember there was a special field in the upload form for it, but that’s no longer there. Obviously things have changed, but they never updated the docs.

Can anyone throw me a bone?

Oh, and while I’m at it, there used to be docs on adding a text file to the Theme Preview zip file to add descriptions to your images. Now, those docs have disappeared, too. Anybody remember the format/protocol for that?

Thx! Scott

Hi Scott. Yeah, that’s a weird usability on uploading form. Include your main preview of the file (590×300) along with the rest of screenshots in that zip. Number them like 01_, 02_ … and put the main preview on first place, call it something like 01_preview_590×300.jpg. Reviewer will setup that image as your file main image.

Also, text description for each image is no longer required, but you can include if you want.

Hope this helps.

Also, as a tip, i think this script from @revaxarts will be quite useful, being your first item. ;)
