Hi friends, I was already apologized ; there was no need to do that ; we can handle our vacations ourselves, it’s not something vital and only a work of adding a simple notification to our items’ pages. Simple. But what I was mentioning was vital for us, for fellow authors, as you already know.

Please let us know about it.

Kind Regards,
Bedros
No problem, I think we’ll see those links back early next week, maybe sooner.

Thanks very much for your reply, Justin.

Do I get paid vacation? Why do I need to tell you this information?
You don’t need to tell us, but many authors want to communicate this information to their buyers near the comment form and other places where buyers look for support.

@justinfrench, you are saying as if this is optional but when the Support becomes mandatory for 6 months and 72 hours restriction put on response time, anyone going for vacation can’t avoid using this tool/info right?

Or correct me if I am wrong.

The answer from the authors is that we don’t want the “72 hours” option to be forced upon us. Why do you want to test this vacation time? What is the point? Why going against the community?

Yes… why would we test something that is part of something bigger we don’t agree with?

Want us involved? Sure, we are always ready, BUT:

How often can we use this? Any limitation in the periods length?

We asked for this feature two years ago. You are now bundling it with something we DO NOT AGREE!.

Yes, we all know you like bundles, but that’s not the way.

Anyways, good luck with testing. There will be people taking part for sure.

Complaining again? Come one people, this feature was requested every summer and now you are against it? Remember threads like that? http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/prayer-of-author-on-vacation/133920?page=1

Yea, this will be incredibly useful. If you don’t want to use this new feature, then don’t. Lol.

Now the purpose of tool is different according to original post. Now this is related to new announcement that requires authors to give compulsory support of 6 months + 72 hours response time limit.

In such case, when an author goes for vacation, the only way to not losing the item is to report the vacation time towards buyers. (or even public?)

Until the staff denies, my above explanation is true.

Nope. Discussing (if we may call the one-way conversation with envato discussion). Weak people complain. Any problem with that?

Before posting links may be reading our full posts and see if it’s not already covered?
