I’m unsure why this is getting a negative response, I’m pretty sure this tool is just there so we can easily communicate an “Out of Office” message with our buyers. +1 from me, this is awesome!

A maximum of 72 hours would allow for weekends and differences in time zone, whilst leaving plenty of room for authors to delight their buyers with faster responses when possible. Buyers will also have the chance to rate their support experience. We’re also working on features for authors to let their buyers know when they’re away on leave or taking a vacation.

so this vacation beta testing is for the new support changes starting with December.

you get 72 hours to answer comments from buyers, if you fail to answer, some bad things happen. You probably have a grace period of vacation each year that you can set up with this tool.

As standalone this option would be great to exist, for example to inform buyers that this week you will not answer comments, or for the next three days.

But is not standalone, the only reason they work on this feature that apparently people asked for years is the new support changes.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Just something would be nice, doesn’t need to be fancy. I setup email auto-responders but that doesn’t help for support requests through Envato Marketplace. It may not happen often, but it does happen and it’s frustrating. I left for TWO days, a much needed two days away from working 7 days a week and I returned to literally TEN messages from one person who ended up so mad they dropped my plugin. I just don’t understand it sometimes. I love my job but not enough to live it and breath it 24 / 7. Cut us some slack! We can’t all make enough on these prices to hire employees ya know….
