I want to remind all authors to remove self promotion links from their profile page, items, help files and metadata also links to free files. Based on my experience from the end of September when i was disabled for 4 days I want to prevent many authors from disabling.
I hope this message is not against the forum rules and it will stay to help authors to follow Envato rules.

It’s not allowed to have links to your own site or any competing marketplaces.

pretty sure the problem is when you have links to other marketplaces where you sell your work. Almost everyone has a link to their actual portfolio etc on their profile page and it’s a bit mean to ask us all to remove them…
A link to our Facebook profile = a self promotion link

I think something got lost in translation. I don’t think that adding a link to your own “non-commercial” portfolio to your own profile page / item / even in the item download readme is against the rules. The only thing that’s not allowed is linking to competing marketplaces or other locations where you share files for free.
Pehraps you could share the message prior / after your disablement? that could clear things up. Cheers.

In my case – I had a link to my store where most of items are links to Graphicriver and a few free items and a few items that are not in my GR portfolio.
