Dear friends, few days ago we all saw a thread here that a TF author “Smartik’s” account was hacked and he is lucky enough that he got back his account without any damage made by the hacker. Anyway I think Envato should do something to protect us from being hacked, like Two step verification as Google does or SSL etc. But I know implementing a new feature needs some time and we have faith on Envato that they will take every necessary steps to protect our accounts from those mental sick persons so called hackers. But until they do something, I think we Themeforest authors must share what software (Antivirus, Internet security suit etc) we use on our PC/Laptop/tablets/mac/iPAD and it will help us to know which security software is used the most by the authors of Envato. Because we don’t want to be hacked, may be all of us are not as lucky as “Smartik”. Please TF authors share here which Antivirus, Internet security suit etc you are using right now and are you 100% satisfied with your tool? Please we have to bond a unity to defeat hackers (mental sick persons) because we don’t want our product items to be deleted form our accounts by the hackers as well as don’t want to loose our hard earned money. Thank you everybody.
Security is simple.
A – Stay away from bad sites.
B – Don’t download bad stuff.
When you ignore those two rules, bad things tend to happen.
As for me, I’m using McAfee on this computer, ZoneAlarm on the other. No problems here.
I use MSE and common sense.
Security software is a scam.

Agree.
And…
C – Do not use another computer than yours.

I also got my account hacked once but recovered it immediatly, and this is what i’ve learned:
1) dont share your account
2) dont share the email associated with it
3) add unique generated passwords, different for both tf account and email
4) add mobile sms recovery for the email account (try using gmail)
5) always withdrawal your money and make items backups
Antivirus is mandatory and i think any of the top 5 is recommended.
Best of luck!!

I’m using Microsoft Security Essentials, but i didn’t had any kind of virus alert in the past few years
Only common sense…
i ‘m using Mac,IP to access Envato site. I have not installed Antivirus yet.
Backup weekly items, and also demo files on demo server. and copy to another Drive. That is what i did.
