I noticed that some service provider doesn’t support timthumb, may I know what other auto image resize script you are using? Which is more stable and mostly supported?
There’s only HostGator I know of troubling, but they fix this issue for your account instantly when you contact them.

Yea, I’m using this script for my WordPress themes – it’s quite powerful yet very simple to use.
If the host faces problems with timthumb , high probability that it’d be the same with phpThumb.
Some Hosts need to be request to whitelist some mod security in order to use phpThumb or timthumb as onuro said.
I’d recommed phpThumb.
