A private link is highly unlikely. You could try and email the author but otherwise there is no way of knowing if it may come back.

while I am sorry you find yourself in the situation (and this is not some specially at you at all) it reinforces that buyers should read the t&c s of the site before purchasing as it is all there. Another call for making the final reminder message when buying say “all files may be removed at authors will so back it up” and ” support is voluntary- you are buying a template not a building service” and “the theme is not broken if it says missing styles sheet” etc amongst a few others.

again not aimed at anyone in particular just seems v unfair that authors and envato get regular kickings on stuff which is not their fault especially when they are offering such a discounted product.

I hope you get your removed file issues solved or find a back up.

I always need to laugh when people are saying “i want my money back” – especially if there is no reason.

You can laugh what you want, i paid for have rights to download a file and now is not ready to download? You can find the theme searching a bit in google, i paid for support and i don’t have it. What is that? 50 bucks just for download a file and don’t have support? It’s a joke?

at the time of your purchase, it was available to download. And authors on the marketplaces are not forced to offer support – it’s every authors own decision but the most do it anyway. And I’m pretty sure there was a documentation in the download package because otherwise it won’t pass through the review process. So what?

Oh and regarding your rights – you should at least read them before you insist on them :|

Absolutely agree with infuse – the way things work here are all in the terms and conditions.

No one “pays for support” because as infuse said while most authors do offer it as a rule, it is out of courtesy and remains voluntary.

And yes $50 for downloading not just a file but a complete and functioning HTML template or WP theme which is AN INCREDIBLE deal – a fully working WP theme that is far more simple than many of the ones on here would cost thousands on $ to buy.

Unfortunately (not focused on your situation) there are a lot of examples of users buying the wrong thing or not understanding how things work. This is exactly my point above about Envato being criticized or labelled a “joke” when they have done nothing wrong.

You did NOT pay for support, but just for the working template as you see on the demo and, as infuse01 said, when you bought it, the file was available. It clearly says in the downloads section that “You should download your purchases immediately as items may be removed from time to time.”.

When i paid for it, i was thinking about the support don’t have sense for me paid only for download a file. I paid for it thinking to setup my website next month, now i don’t have possibility of download the template and no support.

I don’t buy nevermore if i don’t see the author have lot of positive comments.

As you can see in his website the template is working… perhaps he wanna change to another market.

Everything else has already been said. Of course it’s your decision from which author you buy stuff and from which not. Many authors offer support and various ways to contact them. You can try to contact them via their profile page, their e-mail, support forum, facebook page, twitter or whatever. You can also try to contact support – may they can help you more but as far as I know there is not much they can do in your case since everything is clearly stated.

Turn the negative into a positive and learn from your mistake. Next time download your purchased item immediately and make sure you can even use it without support (in worst case).
