OMG , is it really that bad on VH? I uploaded an item, was accepted at 2nd review. And then I get one single day of homepage exposure …

That’s the trend these days. More authors, more files, less exposure at front page. It’s not the end of the world though and it certainly not that bad. Work hard, attract followers you will be always on their front page.
isnt videohive taking 50% of the sale for marketing purposes? something is going wrong.it might be me
One whole day is much, much, much, much better than on AudioJungle. New VideoHive items get more than 10 times as many views than AudioJungle items.
Of course we would all like OUR files to always be on the homepage, but that’s just not how it works…
it’s a Lot more competitive/more projects now than ever before… like 2-3x as many per week at least it seems lately… tough to be an author with so many new folks contributing… I’d still like to have advanced search where at a click I could just see projects from the 10-20 authors I follow or whatever, and/or just show projects $15+ ... plus tough economy+visibility, makes for challenging times. i think that taking time to create exceptionally good projects that deserve $25+ price points is a good way to stand out, since the good ones tend to sell well… though a risk w/time spent vs will it sell.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I think someone made a post a few weeks back(maybe Mark?) where they had data that being on the front page doesn’t contribute to as many sales as people think.
I hope the new search feature is close to being done, it would help authors and buyers quite a bit.

It’s interesting seeing this post because this happened on AudioJungle about 1 1/2 years ago. You used to be on the home page for days….then a day…..then hours….. and now it can even been just an hour or two!
If you rely on the homepage for the bulk of your sales you REALLY need to start implementing a new strategy fast…. in the not too distant future expect your projects to be off the homepage in the blink of an eye!
