Just a suggestion, but you should offer a multiple-level badge for Author’s supporting their products. I think this would help drive better support from Authors, and also reward those you really put forth the effort.
As a buyer, I would look for authors that have high support scores…

Authors on the different market places LOVES badges, so I definitely support this idea.
We have purchased a lot of items for projects that we have done for clients and sometimes we had to submit a ticket and request support. I would say most authors are good at supporting their items, but there has unfortunately also been situations where you definitely could have wished for better support!
Hate to dig this up but I do think more emphasis on incentivising support is a good idea – especially as it gives experienced buyers allot more confidence with buying your products.
Great idea… i give full support on my product(s) so i would hope to get gold on this… its just hard to measure
