I am planning to purchase a new Smartphone(TouchScreen). I have gone through few models of Acer, Asus, HTC and the BlackBerry Storm. But I am not able to figure out the best. Any help would be appreciated

Hahaha… This is funny. I just made a slideshow for a school assignment comparing 3 high-end models. The final verdict may not be right for you, but I talk about comparisons of tech specs and applicability, so you may find your answer in it.

Being an iPhone owner myself, I might be a bit biased but I think the iPhone is the best smartphone around. With 140 000 apps in the Appstore, you can do pretty much anything with it. And the interface is of course outstanding. Believe me, it’s worth every penny :)

I am waiting for my contract to be up, then going with a Windows Phone 7 device so I can test my own apps on it.

I’d personally go for an android if I could convince myself that I could use yet another portable computer.

Until then my Motarola F3 will make any phone call I want it to.

To all people contending the iPhone as your god and savior, just know all new smartphones have an application pool, and most are more powerful than the iPhone in the technical aspect. Also note it is the most expensive of the 3 I looked into, with one of the most crippling plans I’ve ever seen.

If by application pool you mean the ability to run multiple apps in the background, you can do this on the iphone as well after jailbraking (backgrounder) – one of the first things I installed. I’ve used a variety of Android devices and they’re great in different ways – I still personally wouldn’t trade the one’s I’ve used for my iphone at this point, but that’s my opinion.

However, if my phone wasn’t jailbroken I’d probably throw it in the trash…

By application pool I meant they have “App Marketplace” type areas just like the iPhone. They don’t have as many applications, but the most useful things come first, which they do have.

Hey! thanks for all the comments. iPhone is a bit expensive for me. I saw Sony Ericsson XPERIA 2 and looks good. I was planning to but HTC Hero with AndroidOS but the Shop Keeper told me that there’s BlueTooth connectivity problem with Android based phones. Still Can’t figure out the best option but I am liking the XPERIA 2
