My personal most amazing video game music ever is “Dogs of War” Main Theme by Christopher Lennertz. Soooooo well orchestrated and produced:

Olivier Deriviere – Remember Me

This soundtrack likely hasn’t been heard by that many people.as it is for a game that for reasons I still can’t understand was overlooked by the media, and thus many have missed out on a great experience.

The soundtrack itself is a wonderful cross between a substantial live orchestra and glitch music. The music was mixed by the amazing John Kurlander who is largely responsible for the ‘sound’ of the Lord Of The Rings music.

The orchestration and level of skill in this production is far greater than what goes into most game soundtracks. It really added to the atmosphere of the game.

Here is a selection of standout tracks.

Chase Through Montmartrehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3LP7KYTCaw

And my favourite cue from the game – Memory Reconstructionhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcTJfLUOKgQ

Agree with some previous opinions about Heroes 3 The Might and Magic – amazing orchestral music.

Also like dark atmosphere soundtracks from The Disciples 2, Rift MMO. Funny tunes from Worms Blast arcade. Like heavy metal backgrounds from the Killing Floor online survival shooter….

Meanwhile, all these games were cool and playful in the past.
