Because i have my personal homepage link on my profile i get a lot of emails true my own site rather than the contact form on our marketplace profiles, this way i cant check if they really bought my files, so i think it’s time for a better system.

What do you think?

If I receive a direct email I ask all my buyers to please contact me via the profile page contact form prior to me replying to them – if they don’t (and some don’t!) then I take it they never purchased and receive nothing from me – simple to ask but would rather have it where they couldn’t contact me any other way.

Doesn’t take much to find information about you on the net tho so it’s kinda impossible – apart from simply requesting they re-contact via profile page.

Actually there probably are. They probably figure the author wont be able to tell the difference and atm we cant.

If buyer directly send me an email, I will ask them to send message via my profile page then I will answer the questions.

Well, I just teamed up with a coding guy and we created a new profile here on TF. I am a buyer here at TF as you can see, but if I use the other account, I’d look like a stealer, so you can’t really tell. :)

But I guess you are right, there are cheaters also.

I agree, we need a somewhat better system that is more versatile then the current one. This was already discussed before but I cant remember that we got a decent answer yet.

To my mind the most promising suggestion to date was to include this data into the API output. that way we could produce Support Forums and Contact forms on our own that can handle user requests and at the same time make it possible to check if someone purchased our files.

Yes a smart way is to ask them to direct them to you profile page.
