There are many WooCommerce developers available everywhere and it’s free and open source and has good documentations and publishes regular updates.
There is just one negative point about WooCommerce: It’s not fast, If you have a very large shop (more than 4000 products) I think it’s not suitable for you.

WooCommerce use the Custom Post Type and it doesn’t matter to how large your store is. I am running a website of over 570,000+ posts and 900,000+ comments.
