This should answer questions as to why Envato doesn’t accept Bitcoin. It’s a very fragile currency, and last night it has dropped 50% because China has blocked it.

Is it like a really complex png64 image file ? How do you distinguish one coin from another, plus if its digital, does it actually have an image, or is it just a whole massive series of data?

someone is afraid of bitcoin and try everything to kill it. This means creating big fluctuations by buying at high price and then sell for nothing to scare normal people off this currency. Also creating laws to block user accessing this digital currency instead of the official currencies. (like China did)

While this “someone” can’t falsify bitcoins as how they do with normal currencies, they got their hands on a big stash of bitcoins and now they are using this to create roller coaster fluctuations.

We see if the currency resist to these attacks.

Yes but it also went up like 600% in a week so everything is not sad faces. If you would have bought 1 BTC beginning of this year (like I did), it was at around 50$~ now is at 600$+ and last week was at 1000$~

Yesterday was a wonderful time to buy, prices will go back up. Already increased strong overnight.

Bitcoin is a digital currency, and therefore it isn’t centrally controlled by any government. People deal in bitcoin because they don’t trust the governments controlling all currency. It’s also stunningly secure and near impossible to track.
