I know we all have busy lives, but from time to time I really enjoy to read a good Book ! ( I mean a real one – paper
) So if I am lucky , I can lay my hands on let’s say 1 to 2 Books a month. Personally I like to read crime/mistery novels. What about you guys ? Any favorites to recommend ?
Best regards,
dfs
I read books about After Effects, Motion Graphics and now Flash since I want to master it.
I also read books that will help me grow spiritually. The Bible is just the best one for me. Applying the principles found in the book of Proverbs had helped me a lot as a person and in my life.
I will read a paper version, but been interested in the kindle or any digital reader device like sony’s but the books i like usually are not available.
Reading is a good habit that will help keep a good health of your brain. Try the tinkertoys too

Most of the books of Michael Connelly are great. I also like how John le Carré writes.

Once I wanted to get a Sony Ebook reader, which is pretty awesome too I think, but I still prefer a good old fashioned book
I love the smell of paper.
@doru : I like Connelly as well
My personal favorites :
Microserfs by Douglas Coupland. From Microsoft fulltime programers to Freenlancing with lots of Lego and geek stuff.
Digital Fortress by Dan Brown is a great read.

Hmm.. I’d post a few titles here, but they’re all Dutch. Of course, classics like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter are translations, so I suppose I could mention those. I’ve read a few English books in English class, but those were generally not worth writing home about – only 1984 by George Orwell is really something everyone must’ve read.
Now on to great Dutch books:- De Ontdekking van de Hemel – Harry Mulish (Which was awarded the title of ‘Best Dutch book ever’ in 2007)
- De Overgave – Arthur Japin
- De Donkere Kamer van Damokles – W.F. Hermans
Oh yeah.. De Ontdekking van de Hemel was translated to English! It’s titled The Discovery of Heaven and you should have a go and read it!

I read all of Dan Brown. Can highly recommend the books
And of course Frank Schätzing a german author who was born in my home town cologne and got famous with “the swarm”. His new book “limit” is out now, havent read it yet.
I read all of Dan Brown. Can highly recommend the booksHands off the German edition of The Lost Symbol – it’s really terrible, Poor Lübbe – I think they made an awful translation job this time. Go for the English one.![]()
