Those of you who are familiar with Bootstrap know that the maintainers of the project use the following numbering for releases:

<major>.<minor>.<patch>

We’re considering changing the compatible with Bootstrap attribute to show only <major> and <minor>.

This would mean that “Compatible with Bootstrap 2.1.0” would become “Compatible with Bootstrap 2.1”. Furthermore, “Compatible with Bootstrap 2.1” would be cover all versions of 2.1.

We would appreciate your feedback before moving forward with this change.

Also, for those interested, here is the link to the Bootstrap roadmap and milestones:

Thanks, Will

Good call, it should be more clear now.

A little bit off-topic but still regarding the “Compatible with” item attribute – could you guys add bbPress to the list?

I would change the wording from “Compatible With” to “CSS Framework Used”, add zurb.Foundation, Skeleton CSS , Bootstrap, etc and ditch the version numbers.

Good point Ivor, something like “based on” is better then “work with” since buyers rarely switch the used version

This is great feedback. I didn’t even think of this option. I’d like to get feedback from the community on this idea as well. Good one, Ivor.

If bootstrap is included within the files wouldn’t “works with bootstrap” be sufficient?

How about “based on” or “included”. Since bootstrap also included javascript it would be wrong to have “css frameworks used”.
