Oh well, my iPhone doesn’t last a day on standby and they cannot blaim flash for having such a low autonomy. My Nokia phone could last 5 days in standby.
That’s how the world is evolving, trashing a solid technology like flash for something jumpy and unreliable like html5… oh yes but it works on the iPhone with messy transitions and random rendering. Too bad you cannot surf for more of a couple hours before seeing the battery turning red.
I’m going to throw this thing to the wall very soon, it has become useless… it looks nice ok, but even a rock is better than any Apple junk.
This said, if they ever allow Flash on the iPhone that would the brilliant excuse for all their errors and nothing more.

VF saidflash 10.2 is optimized for mobile while canvas animations require more resources to provide lesser quality results but still, canvas is allowed on iDevices
The problem is not only for flash but any website that uses technologies not optimized for mobile. 2 of the following is the possibility for Flash:1. People should aware rich web content (not just Flash) going to drain battery more than usual. But Adobe’s present image and Apple’s movements clearly shows we can’t say this is 100% possible. For a layman, Flash (animations) is definitely 2nd priority than video content (they will be convinced if taught Flash is a battery drainer, so not available). Not a surprise if other mobile brands also decided to take advantage of these excuses (the only good thing is so far this didn’t happen).
2. Hardware configurations should improve enough so that people never care about performance/ battery life etc even if SJ throws stones towards something.
I believe 2nd is a possibility, although it can take some time
if battery was the real issue here, they could just have offered the option to turn off any active content as user preference
web sites should be built using alternate content and work with js disabled
