EDIT : now I see it was done on a machine with Win Vista and not the latest Firefox – it might be that Firefox has been optimized further…
Oh and Chrome… well that’s the speed you get when using a “bare-bones” browser… just try keeping 9-15 tabs opened in it and well see 
I would like to see the same test run on a Mac setup, just to compare the effect of OS on browsing.

I’d love to see a performance comparison on OS X 10 .5 and 10.6. I use Safari and Chrome frequently but avoid Firefox because it’s ridiculously slow in comparison.

That all seems right to me and I will say something about IE…COMPLETE AND UTTER GARBAGE .

Yup, you can’t trust those charts much, since they are based on average data and browser performance depends on your computer quite a bit.
