At least they know how does it feel.

Just like our files, no feedback = no improvement. For the love of macaroni and cheese, PLEASE add a simple text link next to the ratings that says “How can we improve this item?”, with a simple popup form that emails the author anonymously. Optional form. Invaluable feedback.

So considering this example, what I want to suggest to Envato is… please improve the item rating system with more detailed way like amazon! :D

:)) Very well said.

I doubt they’ll fix this anytime soon, not to mention add a feedback form, as they’re always “busy” with other things ;)

Not sure where you’re going with that. But feedback is a vital ingredient in any successful business.

I’m curious, what is the downside of having such a form? Ok, maybe it won’t be a successful idea, but it isn’t it worth a try given the fact that so many authors have asked for it over the years?

Feedback can already be left in the comments like it always was.

Are you sure you want to ‘moderate’ another section of you files?

Nothing to moderate if the feedback just gets sent to us through email.

Yes but this is just making it more difficult for the customer and is like saying to them:

“Ok, you can rate the item here, and then if you want to leave a comment about your rating, you have to go over to this other part of the site”.

Someone will obviously have to moderate that like you moderate your comments.

Maybe they can make it so you yourself can opt out :P But I know I’m not alone when I say lots of authors would welcome the opportunity to capture ratings feedback.
