This update is aimed at making things a lot more consistent plus easier for the devs to maintain a “heap less code” to quote Ben our Marketplace Front-end Dev (a.k.a Benjamin “Button” Smithett as he’s known in the office now ;) ).

That joke will never get young.

Nice updates. :)

I am not sure if icons placed on the right side of the button is an usability proven idea – in fact the opposite is.

Otherwise you tend to first read the text since English is an LTR language, then the icon. Which makes using an icon pointless anyway.

That, paired with the fact that some icon metaphors are not clear right away: for example icons on the “Update” and “Upload” buttons.

Seems to me that not everyone on the marketplaces is that well versed in English. So the Icons still serve a purpuse.

That is exactly my point.

Hi All,

Shortly you’ll see a marketplace wide update go live updating all the various buttons styles we have scattered across the marketplaces. Check out the before and after example below

This update is aimed at making things a lot more consistent plus easier for the devs to maintain a “heap less code” to quote Ben our Marketplace Front-end Dev (a.k.a Benjamin “Button” Smithett as he’s known in the office now ;) ).

This will be the first in a long line for little code/UI cleanups coming out over the next few months, we’ll also add in a few new features along the way so stay tuned!

I found the upload files page the “upload” button didn’t change here.
