I have to agree on this one. First I loved the change, but after a few minutes on the site the scheme gets tiring.

Yes, the designer needs to check the monitor brightness! The text color is too light for activeden orange and videoHive’s yellow. TF and GR looks fine though.
perhaps the border color is too much strong (especially on hover) compared with the gradient?
i like the search button, it has no borders and looks much better than the others : )
little note: bullets in author resources box are going to be updated too?

On my Asus monitors color looks good, but on Samsung Sync master it’s too bright almost i can’t read yellow (orange) text.

Agree about harder to read.
Maybe it’s my imagination, but did the link text change color too? For instance on Videohive, the “active threads” down the right hand side of a forum page that appear against a light grey color rather than white are beginning to disappear, especially where the font is not bold.
Even against white, it feels like we’ve lost a little something in terms of contrast.
