I’ve joined Audio Jungle so I can buy music for ‘how to’ videos I want to create.

Q #1:

I understand I need to purchase the extended license for videos I want to sell. What if I have purchased the extended license and then want to put a short portion of that video on YouTube or Vimeo? Do I need to purchase the regular option as well? Or am I covered because I’ve already paid the higher price?

Q#2:

Suppose there is a song I like so much I’d like to include it on more than one video? Do I need to purchase the extended license more than once or am I simply not allowed to use any song more than once?

Q#3:

What if I’m not sure a song is going to work until I’ve seen it and my video play together? Am I allowed a ‘free trial’ ?

Q#4:

It looks like I cannot make a purchase through PayPal that costs less than $50. Is that correct?

thanks,

Paz

Q#3 You can use the watermarked version of any song.

Q#4 The 50$ limit is when you redraw money as an author.

Thank you for your replies, Bodorobodo.

How do I go about getting the watermarked version? (I assume this means it will have the voice over included in the song.)

The audio player has a little widget on the bottom right to download the preview file. You can use this to test out the music in your own work but you cannot publish it – you’ll need to purchase a license to do that.

Hi Pazzaz,

Q1: IMHO you should be fine with the extended license.

Q2: The license agreement says each usage is limited to a single project. If you are making two separate videos that will be sold separately that’s probably two different projects. Here’s a link to the knowledge base: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/List/Index/70/licensing

Q3: As already pointed out, you can download a watermarked preview.

Q4: There is no such limitation, as far as I know.

Good luck with your project!

milksmusic,

Thank you for your reply.

I read the examples in the link you posted and found my answer to my Q#2 under answer 3 of Extended License examples:

>>#3. (Extended License could be used for) Single TV show or series.

So, if there is a song I really like that I want to use as my theme song, I should be able to use it for all videos in the ‘how to’ series.

Example I’m thinking of: Andy Griffith show. Every episode opens with the whistling theme song.

Thanks, all !

Paz
