And of course I’m not happy that Envato rejects so hard all 2.5D flyover logos. As I said, one of mine was also rejected. I pack it the same time in a bundle and load it up again. Let’s see if it goes!

Yes, put it in a pack and uplaod it. My DMCA note will be right there after approval, because I am the only one who has the right to do packs. Just kidding…

I’m thankful for your apologies, but still you insist on me taking my animation down, so I don’t know what you are apologizing for…

I think it is interesting that you stopped claiming that it is your work, but now your main argument is that “these files are not allowed on videohive”. How about I switch out my preview with a colored logo version and we forget about this.

Please do not let us lose sight of one thing. Can it be that your file was not at all deleted because of my complaint? There was still another animation that was not entirely without problems.

What should I do now in your opinion?

Atiko decided to contact me in private because of the issue, and I am thankful for that and I have also no problem in removing the logo sting in question as I do agree on the similarities that are not common technique.

I’d like to stop this argument now. Let’s see it this way: You can now upload your 2.5D Flyover in a bundle (my idea), and you hopefully get your work approved and up for sale.

But as you now also can upload your works again, please let me just switch out the preview and the placeholder so that it does not remind everyone of your template but looks like a different 3d extrusion.

I think we can all live happily next to each other, you can try to upload 3d extrusion logos, I can try, everyone can try.

Fair?

Lot of interesting questions here, unfortunately we debate them mostly when this type of delicate issue happens.

Did you received a DMCA against this logo pack?

Not sure if it was a DMCA, Maupa reported the file to envato and they hard disabled it. It’s okay as there was another file in question that got removed already. But I don’t want to remove my 3D Extrusion Logo as it is a different file. I hope that we can find a solution here, maybe maupa agrees to my suggestions in the last post :)

Tell me, what shall one make different if he want to make a simple 3D Extrusion Logo. And please consider: my theme for this pack was “simple & elegant”.
Go to graphicriver and find there “3D Logo Mockups V.3”. It took only 2 minutes to find this example. And It’s not Maupa’s logo, it’s not even MotionRevolver’s logo, it’s original. And it’s simpler then your or Maupa’s logo.
We all just watch videohive projects, and in our mind the simplest way to extrude logo is extrude it like Maupa or MotionRevolver, because we watch it 100 times. But go outside videohive and you will notice how many different ways you can do a simple thing, a simple idea.

I surely agree with you here, but I was after that look of the extrusion I used. Maupa didn’t invent it, if anyone can claim copyright it would be MotionRevolver.

I just don’t feel justice here when this is a common technique, maupa himself copied it, but now he wants me to stop from using this technique.

We have two different templates here, as different as Motion Revolvers and Maupas, as different as all other extrusion logos.

I agree when you say: then there is enough of this already in the marketplaces, but it is not maupa’s job to judge over this but reviewers and they approved my file. I’m also quite sure that reviewers know the best-selling videohive template and they would have recognized it when it is “his file” as he states.

Edit/ I’m not even sure if maupa used the same technique, I just used the kind-of-stupid stack-of-2d-layers approach, but maupa’s file might be done with the shatter effect…

Maupa didn’t invent it of course. He was just lucky when reviewer approved his item, that was mistake most probably http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/382

There is a thread about all these extruded logos… http://videohive.net/forums/thread/mayday-mayday/41421?page=5#463147

I understand reason for rejections of “elegant extrusion style” projects. But I don’t know why same thing is approved today… It’s not fair to other rejected works…
