No, no, don’t buy extended license. You don’t need it. You must contact the author of this PSD and ask him if he would like to do a partnership with you. That’s the only way.

really ? I appreciate if you can give me any TF reference link. I just want the perfect info. got confuse, I hear different things from different persons :(

I recently contacted envato about the same situation. Either Alex and Smartik are right. If you got the permission of the author to develop the Theme and publish on Themeforest, you will need to buy the extended license. Keep in mind, you do need to have his full permission.

But you may also like to discuss with the author to compensate with a partnership, say both get 50%.

It’s up to you.
