Can I sell with my price?

The answer is NO

You can complain if you think, your item is underpriced: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/239/57/what-should-i-do-if-i-do-not-agree-with-the-pricing-of-my-item

I just can not figure out which item you talking about. Because sometimes it happens, so maybe we could give you independent opinion. But no hard feeling, ok? Send me your item link through my profile and i will tell you what is my opinion. But its just an opinion, ok?

no no this is not self promotion.
usually, I’m not happy with the prices. And sometimes, the prices are too little. Because if i point my camera somewhere, for example to the sky. And capture a video, This will be at least 5$. But i make an animation, and render it for many hours, They price it for 4$. I think, this is not fair.
or maybe i’m wrong?
And how much will you earn out of that? Determining prices is not only based on how hard it is to make it. There are many factors.

What factors?
Well the main is, besides how hard is it to make it, the demand and the competition. And then the prevention-of-death factor – the example you gave is a good one – if sky video would cost as much as it is hard to make it (lets say $1) it still won’t get more sales so nobody would make videos that are so cheap and don’t sell so the price must get high or you will kill category with sky videos – nobody would upload them.

On the other hand, if you let users decide their prices totally, you would end up with over 70% of sellers setting $1 for a flyer design. Maybe not at the moment you let sellers decide, but in a year I bet it would end like that. The theory that supports that lies in the game theory and the Nash equilibrium.

I agree. But now, this is somehow happening I think.

+1, but dont forget, Envato also often slap on the item’s asses in this cheap way…

That’s the other way around. If you want to prevent an over-saturated category you lower the prices and sellers will submit less.
