I’ve submitted a set of 9 icons (the black and white type) and it had been rejected with the reason that I should upload the item to the vector category.
Now, one minor objection I have is that if a particular item is suitable to a certain category and I upload it to another category, what about the reviewer just move the item to that category?
But anyway is not this the issue. The issue is that before I decided where to upload my item I visited the icon category and I found countless items in the same style as the item I wanted to upload. Black Icons on white background. So how the those items had been approved to that category and my similar in style item is not suitable for the same category where there are THE SAME TYPE OF ITEMS !
Before I resubmit again to the vector category can someone explain me what I’m missing in this equation?
I can’t find a correct answer for you but if the wrong category is the reason, I think the reviewer can just soft-reject and let you change the category yourself if he/she cannot do that for you, rather than hard rejected it . What bother me more is to get the answer from a reviewer it would take a week or more via Support. So good luck to your next submission, mate .
yes, indeed, the reject answer is “wrong category” yet my item is on the same type as countless of other items in the icon category.
This is fairly common type of file, monochrome black icons usually from 9 to 12 or more in a set. There are numerous examples of those types of files in the icon category and the last one in the same style was approved on 20 November 2012!
So why my item was rejected as wrong category and a similar item was approved on the same day?

To me it almost looks like only the most awesome packs of icons can actually go in the icon category.
if the icon category is for icons then icons should go to the icons category.
if no staff answer then I’m losing my time on the forum.
