In my deeply heart I’m a Jazz-Fan.
Here’s a track I like to listen to from time to time.
I love the vocal settings, the sax-solos and vibraphone-solo and the final chord, the upright bass…. I love the whole song. Here’s an interpretation of “The Manhattan Transfer”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP6mX_HtgGI
And here’s another stroke of genius:
“Mama Chola” by Steve Khan. The drums are played by one of my beloved drummer “Dave Weckl”.
One day I noticed that especially the bass is responsible for the magic middle eastern mood. Imagine the bass would have been played a full note lower in the main theme. Than it would sound much more normal (boring). It’s like “Hey bass-man, just play your part 1 note higher and the whole track sounds middle eastern.”http://myfreemp3.eu/music/STEVE+KHAN+mama+chola
These are just 2 tracks touching me very much.
I figured my previous would not stick too long… Sorry about the shameless promotion.
Anyways, to make myself forgiven, here is a track I can stop listening to thanks to my good friend Sam “SoundFix” Speakman. Beware, this is extremely addictive!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE
