What I always do:
That’s a huge size for a single image file…
It’s not running smoothly at all.

No wonder my browser locked up loading page one of this thread.

Please see the Envato Notes about Compressing images, I can’t find it now but it’s a really good article.

For the record, I’ve been using my phone to reply and look through the thread and its not slow at all :P and the gif is running pretty smoothly for me haha.

has anyone tested using apng when uploading to the profile images?

If done correctly it can be small file sizes and run like a gif?
