Nothing wrong with the 600D, it’s much newer than my camera in fact. Now it’s just up to the person behind the camera :)

dear everyone, is it necessary to have a DSLR camera, can a cybershot work good for any file acceptance?

If the quality of the shot is good and the resolution high enough, then there’s nothing wrong with a cybershot or any other quality digital camera. I’ve taken some awesome shots with my compact digital camera and whole bunch of stinkers with my DSLR .

Gear is only half the battle. The rest is up to what sits behind the viewfinder :)

Like KingDog, I think it’s much more important to know the limitations of your gear and work with them than to have the newest and shiniest camera. Whatever camera you own, be aware of the issues it produces— noise, chromatic issues, lens distortion —and shoot within those limitations.

That being said, we do have minimum requirements for technical quality. Images should be useful at their largest size (ask yourself, does this look good at 100%?) and should be of general high quality. Browsing the Marketplaces is the best way to know what we mean when we say “quality”!

Happy shooting. :)

What i think is .. There’s Nothing with The Camera Too Much .. But you Have to have at least the requirement which is must To take a photo shot ..And It’s all Up to The Photographer Who is Taking the photo.. How he takes it and how is the quality..

I have this camera, bought it with two different lenses, as one came free, 18-55mm standard lens and 55-200mm zoom lens, i think the price i paid for it was excellent and was lucky to have it supplied with the extra lens. If you want to check out some photos by the 600d, just have a look at my photos, all of them were taken with it.

thanks

Just to add to this topic: I even have one image accepted that was taken with my mobile phone! I don’t mean that PhotoDune quality standards are low, but it’s the fact that my mobile phone had awesome camera (especially for a mobile phone) – Nokia n82. Plus, the photo was taken on a clear sunny day, so almost everything was “ideal” for a nice photo.

But it was only one photo. I actually use my (non-DSLR) camera for most photos in my portfolio so far… And I’m looking forward to buy a DSLR any time soon – probably the same as you: Canon EOS 600d
