Hey guys,

I have submited a new item for the “CSS – Navigation & Menus” categories and it got soft rejected for the second time.

1º reason: Use of Fonts
I’m using a free Font for it, and in the licence says that I can distribute them or sell if I’m not selling theme “by itself”. But that is ok, as i will use @import to the Google fonts.

2º reason: JS and PHP file.
I also want to provide to the customers a full working contact for with this menu, so I have to include a php file. And also a script made for touch devices to make this item work better on touch screens. So I need to use a JS file to do that.

I made sure to include in the documentation and item description that the use of both this files is completely optional and up to the user to decide to include them or not.

You can see a live preview of the item here.

I really want to include this optional files as I know buyers will come back and ask for it. As this is optional, I don’t know what is the problem to include them. Also on my previous items I’ve included fonts, js&php files for the same category “CSS” and there was no problem. And I can show you some items here on CSS category that also provide this optional files.

When did this policy changed here on CC, as I didn’t knew about that?

I think that you better contact Envato support http://support.envato.com and Open a Ticket that will get you in touch with your inspector to talk further about it.

Already did that, but I know envato support is not the fastest and I also wanted to know the community opinion about it. If this is not allowed all the items on CSS category should be reviewed and ask the authors to remove this files. Because is not fair to let some items have this features and others not.

Then what you can do is, do as they say, don’t add the optional files, upload them somewhere (that will be permanent) and in the item details or the “comments” section of your item, or even the documentation, add a section talking about these optional files.
